The University of Eastern Finland (UEF) offers a range of scholarships and tuition waivers for talented international students applying for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes starting in 2025. 3. Finnish Proficiency Tuition Waivers

UEF encourages Finnish language learning by offering additional waivers:

  • 100% waiver: For students achieving “Intermediate Level 3 or 4” in the YKI Finnish Language Test

  • 50% waiver: For students completing UEF’s Finnish 3 course

4. Humanitarian Scholarship (Temporary Protection Holders)

  • Coverage: 100% tuition fee waiver

  • Refund Policy: If tuition is paid before receiving temporary protection status, the fee is refunded

Eligibility Criteria

  • Finnish Proficiency Tuition Waiver: Apply during your studies at UEF.

  • Humanitarian Scholarship: Apply if you have temporary protection status in Finland.

Tuition Fees for International Students

  • Annual Fee: €10,000 for both Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes

  • Total Cost:

    • Bachelor’s: €30,000 (3 years)

    • Master’s: €20,000 (2 years)

Payment Deadlines & Discounts:

  • Fees must be paid by 31 August 2025 (one or two installments)

  • Early Bird Discount: €500 deduction for students who accept their offer and pay via Flywire by 11 June 2025
